Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race : ウィキペディア英語版 | Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race The Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race is held annually, starting on Good Friday. The premier blue water classic begins from Shorncliffe in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia and finishes in Gladstone Harbour. It attracts competitors from interstate and usually attracts a fleet of 40 to 100 boats. The race has been running since 1949. The past winners are below. The Organising Authority is the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club. ==The Course== The course leads the yachts northwards from the start line at the Shorncliffe pier every Good Friday in Shorncliffe up the main channel of Moreton Bay, out of Moreton Bay leaving Fraser Island to port. After passing Breaksea spit you have to leave Lady Elliot Island to port. The yachts then make a quick dash as they are on the home strait into Gladstone harbour.
